| Make sure the anti-aliased setting is turned on in your graphics
program. This will give you much smoother text and graphics. |

| Non-photographic images, or images that have large areas of flat
color should be saved in gif format. The image on the right was saved as a jpg
and you can see color distortion if you look closely. The gif image on the left
is much clearer. |

| Continuous tone images like photographs that contain many
different colored pixels should be saved as jpg for best quality. Saving in gif
format can leave a noticeable dot pattern when the image is reduced to 256
colors. |
