Prozyme ENZYME Powder Helps Stop Dogs Diarrhea
Koda had stomach problems when I adopted him from the rescue. They had tried worm medicine and antibiotics. My vet also gave him worm medicine, antibiotics and canned food. I soon found he could eat canned dog food without problems but every time he ate dry dog food the diarrhea would come back. Even a small amount of dry food mixed with canned would cause a return of the diarrhea. I tried a variety of dry dog food brands. Including Duck, Chicken, Lamb, Bison... etc. An allergy didn't seem to be the problem.
Tired of spending hundreds of dollars at the vet I started searching the Internet for answers. I began to suspect that Koda might have a pancreas problem that made him unable to properly digest his food. I also found Prozyme and decided to give it a try. Much to my amazement the Prozyme stopped the diarrhea. If I stopped the Prozyme the diarrhea would come back. The Prozyme Products web site doesn't even specifically mention diarrhea though it does say it helps with digestive problems, allergies, shedding and skin problems.
The digestive enzymes in Prozyme will help your pet get the most nutrients out of their food. Even a healthy pet can benefit from the addition of Prozyme to their food. Improved digestion means your pet will get more nutritional value from their food. If their weight is good you may even be able to feed less.
I asked my vet about the Prozyme and he said he had several clients that are using the powder. He suspected that Koda's might have a problem with his pancreas or his problem might just be from having lived on the streets so long and having a bad diet. He said it could take 6 months to get him back to normal. I think the Prozyme is wonderful, he can now eat dry food with no problems.
I have also started feeding both my dogs Eagle Pack Holistic Dog food. Eagle Pack uses human grade ingredients and also contains some digestive enzymes. You can click here to get a discount coupon. Eagle Pack is available in Chicken, Duck & Oatmeal, Lamb & Rice and Anchovy, Sardine & Salmon Meal. Many local kennels have it available. Check the Eagle Pack web site for where to buy locations.
Visit the Prozyme Products web site for a free sample. Because they know their product is good, they are willing to let you try it for free. You can only get one free sample. If you want to order a bottle of Prozyme, Doctors Foster and Smith has good prices.
Drs. Foster and Smith also has the best prices I have found on heartworm pills and Frontline for fleas.
I have used Heartguard plus for years as it is chewable and my dogs gobble it up with no problem. About 6 months ago I switched to Sentinel because it treats more types of worms as well as fleas. I thought it would save me having to buy Frontline and therefore be worth the extra cost.
The dogs don't like the taste of it and it is a battle to get them to eat it all. I also still had to use Frontline so for now I have gone back to using Heartguard. If you have never tried Frontline for fleas I urge you to give it a try. I have tried cheaper products from the local pet store and they don't work. I haven't tried Advantix flea control yet but from what I have read about it, I expect it is a quality product like Frontline. Check the prices at Doctors Foster and Smith , I think you will like what you see.
