Brazos Bend State Park Photos

Photographed on Brazos Bend Prairie Trail in July.

Young alligator photographed from Creekfield Lake Interpretive Trail. Where you say? That little brown lump near the center of the photo is it's head. They can move through the water without making a sound and sit motionless for long periods of time. Where's Mama?

Brazos Bend is located about 40 miles southwest of Houston. You will find many miles of trails for hiking and biking around the various lakes and through the woods. The lake trails are flat and smooth for easy biking. The Creekfield trail is only 1/2 a mile long and paved. Be sure to check it out. You will not believe the amount of wildlife noise on this short trial. It is like being in a screaming crowd of animals. Most of my bird photos were taken on this trail. I also saw alligators, turtles and a snake on this short trek.
